About MassTrack
Massachusetts is one of the most competitive locations for
technology employers and employees thanks to the Massachusetts High Technology
Council, Inc., a nonprofit, nonpartisan lobbying organization that represents
the Commonwealth's - and the world's - leading technology companies.
Founded in 1977, the Council is composed of CEO-level
executives, making it nimble, results-oriented and unbowed by political risk as
it works to support policies and initiatives that benefit all sectors of the
state's diverse technology economy. Council members employ hundreds of
thousands of skilled workers in all of Massachusetts' key technology sectors,
including communications, computer hardware, defense technology, higher
education, life sciences, semiconductor, and software.
The agenda of the Massachusetts High Technology Council has
always been set through a direct survey of our CEO members. Now, through
MassTrack we have the opportunity to measure how responsive state elected
leaders and communities are to the agenda of the technology community in there
areas of tax and economic policy, education and workforce development, health
care and public infrastructure.
MassTrack will serve as a resource for technology CEOs and
entrepreneurs, technology workers, policy makers and media, and will provide a
dynamic and interactive profile on the climate for technology growth in
Massachusetts.
We encourage visitors to visit the High Tech Councils website
(www.mhtc.org) and that of our affiliated
organization, the Massachusetts Defense Technology Initiative (
MassDTI) to
learn how we are working to make Massachusetts the most competitive place to
live, work and operate a technology business.
